season 1, Kevin is just a boring accountant who can unexpectedly sink 3’s. By the end of the show they have an entire episode about how, if you just met him, you would think he’s actually retarded.
I hated that. Kevin was great in the beginning and just his look was enough, there was no reason to go over the top stupid with him. His "idiot voice" gets annoying as shite during a binge

They went full on caricature of everyone. But Kevin kinda got fricked the worst. He was always an idiot, but not literally stupid. And he was sharp in some ways (like winning a WSOP bracelet, for example). Hell, one of the best storylines to me was when Holly started and Dwight made her think Kevin was retarded, and it made sense. But eventually they made him actually stupid, which was a shame.
I know most people love Creed but I think he’s one of the worst characters on the show. He’s just too over the top unbelievable that he would earn and keep that job. Sure, he was good for some funny lines here and there. But then they made him a cult leader, thief, murderer, etc. good for a few laughs, but completely unbelievable.
But even still, most characters are great given the limited screen time they had. And whenever they were given more screen time, it suffered. The “Did I Stutter?” episode, for example. Stanley is good in small doses. But when you give him too many lines the character suffers. That’s what happened to Andy and why he became so hate-able. He was great as a supporting character, but after The Hangover, they forced him into a major role, snd the character (and more importantly, the show) suffered because of that.
Still one of the GOAT shows though. I watch it at some point almost daily.
