I had a great time during my 5 day trip. I can't believe anyone would say the Rose Bowl was overrated. It's definitely old but the history alone made it an awesome experience. The scenery around the facility with the mountains, etc. was beautiful.
By far the easiest entry/exit game day experience ever. The shuttle buses from the Parsons Center was so easy and efficient. We were back at the car in about 15 minutes after the game.
I was completely shocked by the homeless population and the amount of trash/litter along the freeways and streets in some areas. I knew it was going to be bad, but far worse than I expected. Almost every single freeway exit was filled with dozens of tents and trash. We stayed in Pasadena and it was very nice, same for Beverly Hills, etc. However, the rest of the city was just astounding.
The weather was amazing. Saturday was the hottest day but Sunday and Monday was glorious in Malibu and Manhattan Beach.
I found that the Cali people are over the COVID restrictions too. Many without masks and the servers in the restaurants weren't really enforcing the mandates, at least where we went.
It was a great trip and Tiger Fans were EVERYWHERE. Great turnout. Unfortunately, the team chose not to show up.
