I'll make a friendly wager w/both you and VA that he's back and pitching at a high level next year. Kid is a bulldog
Medical science has come a long way w/tendon injuries. Had this been just 20 years ago, he'd of probably been FUBAR'd. Not now.

He's tougher than a $2 steak so I won't bet against him, but if I had to guess, we don't see him again until opening weekend 2023.

I don’t want to bet against a Brave.

I’m sure he is. May be why he had the 2nd injury, trying to come back too early.

Yet he still tore his Achilles AGAIN. Either this great news medical science fricked him, or he’s prone to injuring that part of his body.

Dominique tore his more than 20 years ago and came back pretty amazingly. And he was a good bit older and relied much more on his explosiveness.
Again, I’m not gonna bet or pull against Soroka coming back. I just don’t expect it and don’t think the Braves should count on it. Like I said, they should operate like he’ll never pitch at a high level—if at all—ever again. And anything they get out of him should be considered lagniappe.
But don’t mistake that for me giving up on him or suggesting the Braves should either. I’m just saying if they’re making moves projecting their ‘22, ‘23, ‘24 rotations, they shouldn’t count on him being a big part of it, if at all.
