Think about our new coordinators.. Coach O has said since the day after the Joes and Bros era (Joe Burrow & Joe Brady) that he wanted to run the Joe Brady offense he said it last year ( he said it was going to be a mix) now this year..? Has it ever occurred to anyone that he doesn’t even know the what the freak the Joe Brady offense is!! I know players change and execution of the plays are going to be different but these aren’t the same rout concepts, plays, schemes, fluidness that I saw from the offense in 2019. When I see Alabama play I say damm they ain’t skipped a freaking beat, Georgia the same (still without any offensive playmaker) same on for all the top programs. We are searching, searching for the success we had in the past and my grandfather told me when your searching your guessing,
Defense a little different, Coach Jones I believe is a brilliant football mind. Think back at his intro press conference, he said he wanted to use a multi defensive scheme. I truly believe that because Aranda was a mastermind and he had to dumb himself down to fit in with Coach O. O wants a 4 front line why? Not because it’s the most effective, it’s because that’s what he hangs his hat on D-line. If you take that away (switching to a 3-4, would take those DEs out the dirt and would have to train them as a hybrid LB) he loses any sense of purpose on the team.
