Federal Government bailout loans to corporations

I am no financial wizard by no means but how can the federal government keep loaning money to all of these corporations by the billions. From what I have been reading the government itself is in a huge debt hole itself and must borrow money from other countries.

The problem is that the federal government is us. It is our tax money that continues to bell out these guys that are already multi-billionaires. Our government has become so corrupt that I am not sure we are recoverable as a nation.
