I mean, a super reliable generator that doesn't meet your power needs is a useless as one that doesn't start. Those Honda inverter units are amazing, but to get an inverter over 2kw, you are spending double at a minimum. Think the Honda 7kw inverter is like 4500 bucks. As far as regular generators....I think 90% are the same Chinese motors painted a different color.

Not the northern tool blue one..
They opened that up and a lot of the internal shite was plastic. Stay away from that one.
Contractor here we know uses the predators and runs them to death or until they inevitably get stolen. Changes out the spark plug after break in to NGK and goes with it.
They've been through some hard times and still work well.
