Tell that to my buddy’s family who died on a ventilator last week. Guy was healthy as a horse too. Also a Trump antivaxer. A shame how people have to relate a life saving vaccine to politics.
I can identify. My brother-in-law buried three members of his family in the span of one month - his mother, sister, and daughter. Four children under 13 lost their mother. Yet there continues to be the unending number of village idiots proudly thumping their chests and shouting about how brave they are (but inconsiderate of their fellow citizens and human family) for their opposition to simple measures that can save some of those lives and help reduce and eventually end the threat. Like they say about the weather here - it's not the heat, it's the stupidity.

What are those “simple measures”?

But it won’t end the threat. The threat does not have an end, it will be amongst us for the rest of our lives and people need to understand that, take it to heart, and adapt. If it had an end, we would have ended influenza 20 years ago. The “vaccine” does nothing for transmission rate. WE WILL ALL GET THIS. The majority of us have already had it and haven’t even known about it. I currently have covid and Im sitting at home for the last 5 days now conducting business from home. Yesterday was my worst day and I felt like I was at about 90% of what I normally am with a slight fever and being a little weak. I still went walk a mile with the dog. I will again today. I did not get the vaccine and I will not get the vaccine. I have come into such close contact with this virus so consistently since the beginning of 2020 that my immune system has been able to fight it off. Im 34 and Im in really good shape as I run and lift daily. I contracted it last week by being with my GF who is an RN (THAT WAS VACCINATED). We’ve quarantined together since last Thurs and havent left the house.
If you truly believe that people that are purposefully being irresponsible due to not getting a vaccine despite the mountain of evidence that shows it’ all a crapshoot anyway. then there is no helping you. Protection from covid started long before covid got here and all of those things are controllable, yet we are a nation of fat fricks that do not but health as a priority, only NOW when something comes along and exposes how unhealthy we are as a nation do people start losing their mind on health.
