10 team standard league.

let me preface by saying I screwed up on my draft pretty badly (made the mistake of drinking whisky) so I need some upgrades pronto.

My team:
Tannehill, burrow
JT, Ekeler, Mike Davis, Mack
Lamb, Aiyuk, Sutton, Chark, Robby Anderson, Cooks
Kittle Gesicki

his team:
Mahomes, Allen
Sanders, Mostert, Robinson, Gaskin
AJ Brown, Allen Robinson, Higgins, Claypool, OBJ
Pitts, Engram

I probably won't do this, but need advice on a a counter. I already asked for A. Robinson, Allen, and Pitts for Kittle and Tannehill and he said no. thoughts ?

You won’t get either of those trades for Kittle.

Wait, is he offering you this?

I’d pass. Would love to have josh Allen but you’ll potentially find close to similar production between tanny and burrow. Kyle pitts is a big question mark playing for the falcons. I’d hold on tight to one of the very few TE fantasy producers in the league. Just my .02. If kittle stays healthy your team is gonna frick.

I would do it for Pitts and Allen. It is gamble but Allen will be a monster and Pitts has the potential to be as good or better than Kittle. Little bit of a gamble but that is the chances you take to win a ship. Pitts is already essentially the number 2 option behind Ridley in an offense that will pass a lot bc they struggle to run and defense is bad

you think my WRs can carry me? I need Sutton to come back. Also, what do you think about having Aiyuk and Kittle?

You’ve got 3 really good backs. Not concerned about having two Niners, I think the two on a team is bad idea is overblown.

I’d lean towards no on the trade, Pitts is too much of an unknown. Sure he is insanely talented but there is usually a learning curve at TE that is higher than WR.

Why does he have Mahomes and Allen in what I assume is a one QB league? I guess as trade bait. You’re doing him a favor by letting him get value, leave him stuck with a stud on his bench.

I think your receivers are fine. This is coming from a guy that just traded away Clyde Helaire for lamb and Higgins though. I’m not crowning pitts anything special yet though just bc draft “experts” were circle jerking it to him.

I’d say aRob , Allen , and pitts is your final offer and let him chew on that for a while. Tell him you don’t wanna be streaming tight ends all year if Pitts ends up being a big nothingburger.

For most tight ends that is correct. But Pitts is by far the second best receiver on the team. They are not going to play him just as a tight end. He will be heavily involved. As I said it is a risk for sure but could pay off

Your QBs are fine.
Your RBs are fine.

Why not Kittle for Pitts and ARob?

Otherwise, I’d stay put and work the wire for another WR gem.

Not disagreeing with you but Pitts is just a name on that depth chart until he does something in the nfl.

my biggest problem is with my WRs. do you agree I have a WR corps that can carry me? or at least get me to where I can make a good trade?

This logic holds for just about anyone who is projected to improve from one year to the next...sometimes you have to take smart risks in fantasy. I think Pitts is a great opportunity to do just that.
