LINK . I recently started this. Working to get 100 subscribers so I can customize my url to help my channel grow easier. It's mostly FPS games. Feel free to check it out and help me grow. If you want to see something just let me know and I'll upload videos. Thanks! Don't forget to subscribe!

you're gonna need to get a webcam and a mic and provide some kind of entertaining content than just regular gameplay with no commentary.

here's my channel. it's nothing great, but i did do all my video editing work as well. i'd probably be able to monetize my videos by now, but i "gave up".
LINK
you need to sub to harris heller's youtube channel for some great ideas as well.

I'll check it out. I do have a webcam but use it for streaming which I'll start back up once Battlefield comes out. Appreciate the feedback!

use it. cut record your gameplay while you're playing with friends. cut out the fat afterwards and upload the entertaining stuff.

If you are dedicated to growing your YouTube/streaming then that link can help. It's not easy, takes some work and a lot of networking. YouTube is hard, but I'm pretty consistently bringing in money with twitch. I don't know how familiar you are with discord, but if you join that just reach out to me (E-Goo Gaming) and I'll walk you through everything if you want.
It's not as simple as just making/posting videos when you are just starting out though.

Unfortunately not console only right now. I keep having issues when I try to record in my computer.

Do you have an elgato capture card?

4k 60 pro mk 2. I just don't think my computer is strong enough to game and record. That's why all my stuff is for console right now.

Use your pc to just record your console gameplay. It should be fine to do that. Hell, it should be fine to stream as well.
But I would work on YouTube videos with webcam and commentary. Build your following.
When you get a big enough following, bring them to your streaming platform.
Stream once or twice a week.
The other days should be video editing for your YouTube content. If you don’t have the time to learn that due to family or relationships, there are freelance sites out there where you can hire someone to do it for you. You just provide them the video files and they’ll edit it to your liking.
Fiverr.com and own3d.tv are probably the two popular ones.

I watch a lot of YouTube. Gaming, movie critics, politics, general social ills, stuff shitting in feminism and sjws. You need to watch A LOT to know what’s successful before you jump in. For gaming reviews I recommend skillup as a good place to start.
