I'm making the same drive tomorrow but from Houston to pensacola. I was thinking about driving up through Alexandria and Hattiesburg to avoid going through i-10 and br. However that will be an extra 2 hours. Do you think its woth it?

Driving in from Dallas to New Iberia. Was planning on topping off at Opelousas. Any info on gas there would be appreciated.
