My claim is that private businesses can set requirements and policies within the law. That has nothing to do with someone's race.

Your earlier posit was that businesses can make decisions based upon public safety because of “science”, now you’ve completely shifted your position to what’s within the law.
If executives and legislatures say it’s not within the law to enforce vaccine mandates, then it’s within the law for them to issue such orders.
You can’t have it both ways no matter how badly you want to.
