I don’t see what’s fake about what Felix said. My guess is she didn’t call Sha’Carri or message her with support or advice. She didn’t bring up the topic on her own.

It’s not like Felix claimed to spend hours helping her, referring to a grief counselor, etc. She said some positive comments and was polite when asked about it by a mainstream figure. That’s what adults do.

I’ve said it before but this is a very likable generation of track and field athletes (Rai, Lyles, Norman, Holloway, Keni, Gabby Thomas, Brazier) and Sha’Carri manages to get all of the media attention.
