Novavax grows covid batches, kills the virus and harvests the covid spikes. Natural growth is apt to create a less uniform bunch of spikes. Broader variation in the protein spikes is likely to create a little broader spectrum immune response. It also doesn't require any mRNA or chimp virus to command our cells to make the spike.
