The doctor and I both believe masks and vaccinations protect children and everyone they come in contact with.
Is he arguing for masks on kids at school? This is such a moronic argument and both him and the doctor are 100% wrong. Doctors are not material scientists, that is not what they do so their comments on this subject is meaningless. Sure if the kid was wearing a N95 mask or was only around other people for a few minutes, it could be beneficial, but kids in school aren’t doing either of these things. They are around the same people all damn day and the effectiveness of the mask against delta variant in this situation is as close to 0 as you will get. It’s a pointless PPE that is more a hinderance to learning than effective in slowing the spread.
The only good thing about the mask is it limits kids touching their mouths as much and preventing less infectious diseases from spreading. Either put distance between kids IE remote learning or stopped virtue signaling useless ideas like masks in schools.
