fought to perfection .....
I guess you forgot about the relentless, but ineffectual bombing campaign that actually strengthened the resolve and will of the people. Conventional tactics from leadership of conventional wars before them ... the brutal massacre at My Lai and hundreds like them. Pushing the bombing into Cambodia helping to fuel the rise of the Khmer Rouge. And on and on.
What battle did the US really win? And body count is not a indicator when you are fighting a country so determined to get its independence back and is willing to lose 10 for your every 1. Hue? yeh that was a good one. Khe Sanh? Another swashbuckling American victory.
and to the idiot who wonders who won based on what Vietnam is like today. Well, Vietnam is pretty incredible actually if you ever get a chance to go to Da Lat, Hue, Saigon, Hanoi and on and on.
