until the American people lost the will to fight.

We were fighting for 20 years.

How much longer should we have invested in this war?

"We kicked arse in World War 2!"

Newsflash for people: We didn't fight that war alone. Since WW2, these are the Wars we fought, usually alone:

Korea: Still technically at war, and at a stalemate.

Vietnam: We lost.

Grenada: We beat up an island in the Caribbean.

Panama: We liberated a country whose citizens loved us from a dictator.

Desert Storm: We led a UN coalition to liberate Kuwait. UN coalition Won.

Somalia: We led an UN coalition to stop Warlords from preventing food from getting to the people, and came out with basically a stalemate. And an embarrassing outcome to a mission, No matter how much sugar-coating Hollywood puts on it.

Bosnia-Serbia: We didn't lead, just provided support and did what the UN told us to. I guess it's a win.

Iraq-Afghanistan: We started with a coalition that we led, then found ourselves alone after the coalition decided not to fight our war and follow us. We have been engaged in a quagmire for 20 years that apparently nobody knows how to win. We finally decide to pull out and stop losing resources and our citizens lives to this bullshite.

We lost.

Explain to me exactly how we should go about fighting this war.

Also inform me of your service record. I really want to know. Because if you served, I will respectfully consider your viewpoint.

If you didn't, then frick you.
