I much appreciate the helpful replies. I didn't want to drive the car any more than absolutely necessary so I have decided based on my guesses and the information from you men and ladies of the O-T presented me with, to go ahead and purchase 4 new plugs and coil packs from Toyota tomorrow and install them here. I'm confident now that this will solve the problem. I assume it's probably smartest to purchase genuine OEM Toyota parts, especially for the coil packs. I guess I'll go ahead and get the plugs there too while I'm at it. Again thanks for the help. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbow.gif)

I never get too wrapped up with buying OE parts. The OE almost never actually manufacturers the parts and buys from a supplier. You can probably find out who makes them online and buy that brand and save money. And I’m not saying to buy Chinese garbage, just don’t get to worked up about buying Toyota parts because Toyota doesn’t make them to begin with.
ETA looks like Denso makes Toyota’s coils. Just FYI in case you want to shop it.

Could be a loose gas cap, mass air flow sensor, o2 sensor, bad fuel injector..........
You can buy a cheap code reader for less than the cost of 1 OEM Toyota coil pack
