Biden has sent a delegation to meet the Taliban to beg them not to attack our embassy. They are also offering future aid to any Afghan government, which includes the Taliban to guarantee a safe withdrawal of the embassy.
Sounds like a bribe to me.

1. The history books and narratives will be that it was all Trump's fault.
2. Biden doesn't beg. He is a supremely arrogant a-hole that doesn't give a shite about anyone else. He will threaten to use the government against the Taliban if they don't do what he says. That's what he does.
If anything, with Biden, you're probably looking at more wars. Not less.

Drove by Bragg just a few hours ago; there was an unusually high amount of activity going on there.
There was about 10 Chinooks in the sky at the same time coming into the base. Maybe that's common, but I haven't seen that before and I drive past there just about every other Friday night.

Right, but as much of a frickup the way we pulled out was, he might be the right man for this particular job. He is a hawk but if he just cares about American interests he MIGHT just tell the Taliban that he'll leave them alone so long as they leave our people alone for long enough to get out. We'll see if he can overcome Alzheimer's for long enough to stand up to all his dumbass advisors.

If they had withdrawn during the winter when the fighting season is over when the Taliban takes refuge in Pakistan and provided air support to the Afghan troops until then this debacle could have been prevented. When he announced the hard withdrawal date the Taliban knew when they started the summer offensive all they had to do was press hard and everything would crumble.
