2022 WR Recruitment Question

How many spots are we honestly going to use for WR this class? Somebody’s bound to be processed or considering to blue shirt if we land some of the bigger names guys. can’t see us using 5-6 spots. Would really hate to see us lose Anderson, Crawford, or Johnson though.
Evan Stewart
Shazz Preston
Kendrick Law (could be a RB or DB)
Aaron Anderson
DeColdest Crawford
AJ Johnson
Thoughts?
ETA: not to mention landing 4 WR last class and guaranteed a minimum of 3 next class

Most likely 4. If a Preston and Stewart want in, some tough decisions will have to be made with quality in state guys.

So if you gotta process 1, who would it be?

Realistically, we end up with Preston, Anderson, Crawford, and Johnson at WR and Kendrick Law as an ATH. And that would be an excellent class.

It is pretty taboo to talk about this subject, if a tough decision needs to be made leave it to the staff to handle and just root for all the kids who love LSU whether they make the class or not

I’m with you, I’d rather have a 3 star that wants to be a Tiger now than one that’s still up in the air

Currently NO WR commits are being discussed for being processed. Could that change, sure, but I would say unlikely. I know it sound like overkill at the position , but with our newest version of offense, and lack of true dominant TE presently, there’s gonna be many 4 WR sets used. So to practice properly need large number at the position. There will probably be 1 or 2 each class that feel aren’t seeing field enough playing time and transfer. Unfortunately it will become the new norm.

Law isn't a WR. Johnson and Crawford both have had questions that they kinda answered in camp, but they're still going to be evaluated this season. I highly doubt both Stewart and Preston are in this class. For better or worse, it always shakes out.

It’s way too early to speak on anything like that

Gonna disagree with you on Law, he is being seen as dream slot WR. In current offense slot WR is used in many running plays and screens. He is FRICKING PERFECT FIT.!!!!!

Peetz wants law really bad.

Is it safe to say that the staff sees Law playing a similar position as what they had planned for JoJo Earle or is that what they want in Anderson?

I think Anderson resembles more of what they wanted with Earle. He’s great in space with elite quickness. Law is bigger and more physical which should allow him to be used differently. Law can do anything you ask as a runner or receiver.
