Their sales are down, with the advent of Red Cross free meals and MREs-they are just trying to keep their balance sheets in order.

Popeye's = small pieces, big prices.

Church's = big pieces, small prices.

KFC = a mix of both.

As someone that works directly with chicken processing plants, this is true.

The owner of the Popeye's in my town was open one night after the storm, the drive thru was packed all of a sudden the power went out. There was people who paid already that was waiting for their food that was not able to get it and people who ordered, the food was being prepared and then all of a sudden it was not able to be served. I would image some places are having to eat cost somewhere so they have to make up for it.

The ABSOLUTE best fried chicken in town is at LA BAYOU BISTRO ...

It isn't fast food, but damn, it's good.

Popeye's = Best tasting chicken. Cost differential is negligible

Church's = POISON

KFC = Good for people who can't take to spices from Popeyes. My grandmother eats KFC.

I like Fricken' Chicken, because he's local, served our country and offers a damn good product for a great price. Plus his biscuits trump Popeye's.

However, I find his chicken to have too much batter, sort of like the KFC's extra crispy batter.
