As the saying goes, you don't get a second chance to make a good first impression.
Well, in Jordan Jefferson's case, you don't get a second chance to make a good last impression either.
He was horrid in his last game. It was partly due to the fact that he really hadn't played a lot that season. But, it was clear that he should have been benched in the BCSNCG. As I was sitting in the stadium wondering where in the f*ck is Jarrett Lee, I had Bama fans turning around and asking us why doesn't Miles put in the guy who beat us in the regular season.
No one f*cking knew what Miles was thinking.
But, as I was leaving the Superdome I was confident that Miles' tombstone would one day read, "Why in the f*ck didn't I put in Jarrett Lee?"
Now, unfortunately, it's Jordan Jefferson who is blamed and who people look at as a failure. And, it's mainly because Miles is a f*cking bonehead who couldn't see the obvious.
BTW -- Did we ever get past the 50 yard line in that game? It's the one game I just can't rewatch. Jefferson should have been benched in the second quarter. It was clear that he didn't have it that day and looked like a deer in f*cking headlights from the first kickoff. And, although the 21-0 score looked lopsided, the defense kept us in that game into the 4th quarter.

If the rumors are true, JJ was drunk as a skunk the night before that game. But it’s more Leslies fault than anyone else.

JJ was already in the game, so they are dumb for forgetting what QB beat them earlier in the season. Lee was benched in the GOTC.

I don't know how many times we'll have to go through this. Lee had nothing to do with the 9-6 win.

Throwing another pick-6, presumably.
Bama DBs absolutely had Lee's number and while sticking with Jefferson obviously didn't work, putting in Lee would have been even worse.

Ain't that the truth.
It may not be altogether fair, but when I think of Jefferson I can't help but remember this:
That, and how he tried to blame Spencer Ware for it afterwards.
