China is getting creative with their land grabs. They are building a bridge in Montenegro that Montenegro can't afford. When they default on it, China is going to claim swaths of land there.
"...if Montenegro is not able to repay China's state-owned Export-Import Bank on time, the bank then has the right to seize land inside Montenegro, as long as it doesn't belong to the military or is used for diplomatic purposes."
How a Chinese-Built Highway Drove Montenegro Deep Into Debt
It's the same thing in several places in Africa, China is leveraging their construction and labor to put other nations behind the 8-ball and force them into giving up territory.
