I guess it depends now on the type of job you have and the sensitivity of the position in regards to said crime.
Some jobs a DWI is an automatic no but others they dont care. Violence charges, especially domestic, is usually a guaranteed no across the board if a company finds that.
But yea I would have just stayed silent about the whole ordeal since you havent been convicted of anything. Cant do anything about it now. Good luck man

He could stay silent, but at times I have seen charges that sound way worse than they are based on the legal jargon until an applicant just gives a few details. You don't have to tell them a lot, but just enough so they don't feel on edge about hiring you.
