Only eat that stuff once every few weeks or so. Even once a week is fine if you’re eating in a deficit the other 5-6 days

Yeah, that be my issue. My resolve has strengthened, but when moms bringing me a pot of chicken spaghetti and the father in law takes us out to eat and has Sunday family dinners, those 2-3 days cancel out the 4-5 of eating right. Easy to not have temptation 2000 miles away.

Bottom line, I don't. Fortunately I have a high metabolism and get a lot of exercise or I'd really be in trouble. I could be in great shape if I cleaned up my diet.
