Missed the first hour while at Dicks looking at fricking girdles and visors. (Why in the hell is one of the most important pieces of equipment in an über masculine sports called a "girdle"?) Already figured the clear visor mandate is related to concussion detection, right? (Good thing I wore that dark Jim McMahon style visor back in the day.)

Also love how these coaches are totally playing in the gray area. Camp brochure says helmet and pads but they told them they would need their girdles for the "camp" next week. I'm glad...Little Dawg is tired of the micky mouse no contact walk through OTAs. (I'm sure this will change by the 3rd full practice. ) He was the only freshman on Wed to finish the Ninja style obstacle course though so there's that.

ETA: Discovered last night that the State family has gotten a commitment from the son of a coach who worked in the same split building facility as my wife. Small freaking world.
