And the glorious melt that came with it.
That was one of the funny things when Coach O was hired. Tards would come up with ridiculous predictions and 3/4 of the board would go into full melt over the made-up bullshite.

They are only (roughly) 90 miles apart and would be the 2 closest teams in the Conference. Different pods? Why?
They already have a long history and tradition that rivals Bama/Auburn, OSU/Michigan, Florida/Georgia and any others you can name! Fans of both LOVE this game---only the UT powers that be do not.
Part of why A&M jumped was because Texas was exerting power over the conference to the detriment of all other members. Longhorns Network, etc... Look it up.
Part of that and any proposed separation of the two now, is because Texas looks bad to alums when they lose to A&M
