I'm surprised Marina's Mexican on Perkins by Maxwells Market stayed open as long as it did. It was a bit of a running joke that every time we passed it, we were shocked it was still open. Finally I passed the other day and it was closed down for good.

I’m not sure it’s closed for good. We live nearby and it appears to still be open. It seems to be open intermittently though. It’ll be closed on random days and times.

I share your sentiments - it’s okay in a pinch but nothing memorable. Surely not good enough to afford the rent right there.

Ah okay. Good to know. There was a dumpster filled with building materials in front of the front door a few weeks ago is why I thought it had finally closed.

I can’t imagine that rent is cheap.

I've lived in BR for 15 years and have yet to see a car out front. El Chapo must've been running drugs out of there.

Of El Magey? It always has a ton of cars when we pass during Saturday lunch (we do a lot of Saturday lunches at Twin Peaks so pass it often). It’s a brilliant idea. They have all of the mexican favorites on their buffet. Even massive warmers of queso. And they never closed the buffet part during the pandemic I’m pretty sure
