Whenever OU's name has come up in the past, someone always pipes up and says that there is some state law or something that says OU and OK State have to be in the same conference.
Has anyone ever seen proof of that?

All of a sudden LSU Ole Miss and Miss state would be kicked over to Big 12 division. We’d only play Bama / Auburn / Florida once every 8 years? Sugar Bowl has a sec - Big 12 tie in now, they’ll just get rid of sec championship game and go to the bowl (those not in playoffs)

Just start your own league at this point. Play 11 games, your whole division, 4 from opposite division, where the following year you play the 4 teams you didn’t face from other division in year prior, 2 teams each division get in 4 team playoff.
