You got downvoted to hell but you’re absolutely right. Louisiana will come back for those taxes.

There was a thread on the money board a while ago where some people said this happened to them in this scenario. Not sure if something you do can flag it or if it’s just a case of getting extremely unlucky.

What if you moved to Texas mid year, one residence address that changed when you moved. You kept same job, but the job was for a company in Louisiana but you worked remotely from your address, which changed mid year.

Is Louisiana entitled to that 2nd half of years state taxes? You were living and working FROM Texas.
