My understanding wife(no pics) is graciously allowing me to play Harbour Town on a little Anniversary trip coming up this week.

Anyone play it before?? Of course I've seen it on TV and its obviously tight.

Did you have a caddie? Etc....

Went there a few years ago. We did the caddie for the group. I personally think it was worth it. Our guy had great stories from the tournaments and all kinds of stuff. Also was so good at reading putts.

It really is an awesome place. Course was so much fun. Actually played it twice when I went. I know this sounds stupid to say but it’s pretty easy if you hit good shots. If you hit average shots it can get away from you quickly. When I went they gave everyone a tee bag with harbor town ball marker and tees. Still the tee bag on my bag today. They also gave you a bag tag with your name on it was nothing to crazy. Made of plastic. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll try to answer. Can’t really think of anything else that’s out of the norm.

Awesome. Best collection of par 3s I’ve played.

Had forecaddie, worth it.

Be sure to stay for a drink in the men’s locker room upstairs after the round.

Great track. Used to play it the day after the Heritage every year as they kept the tee and hole locations from Sunday.

If you can hit greens you will have makeable putts. Greens are tiny.

I was there last fall. We had to have caddies. Great course with lots of sand and water. The greens were slower than I expected. Enjoy!

Agree about the par 3s. They are fantastic and as a group are probably one of the best in the country.

I played the last day before they closed it to prep for the Heritage. There were a few grandstands already set up. Had a guy sitting in the stands around 18 & he applauded us as we came up to green & after we holed out. That was fun.

The only drawback (and it is nitpicking) is the fact that the only hole on the sound is 18 (17 goes straight towards it, but is not on it). The other holes meander through the resort. Which is nice, but just not as scenic as Kiawah Ocean.

Keep it straight off the tee or you will be hitting a lot of punch outs.

I didn't get to play it this past year due to aerating. If for some reason you don't get to play Harbor Town, the other two courses in Sea Pines are also very good.

Very tight course with tree lined fairways, but fair. You just can’t get up there and try to bomb it on every hole. Greens were in great condition and rolling at around an 11 on the meter. The first 15 holes are a nice layout that culminates starting at 16 fairway with amazing views of the Sound.

Our caddie Rick was great. He really helped us pick our clubs correctly and areas to aim at. Very knowledgeable about the course and the history surrounding it.

Played yesterday. PRIMO obviously. Have to play very strategically. Greens are firm and fast. Par 3s are gorgeous hit green on 3 of 4. Bailed out left on 14. Back nine looks easier from the tee but is much more difficult IMO. Shot 92, no birdies. Could have shot sub 85 but I didn't play here to lay up. Caddies want you to play super conservative but that's not me. Feel like the $289 green fee was decent value for the experience.

Getting hammered drunk in Charleston now.

Savannah and Charleston are pretty frickin awesome
