This is what I find confusing as well. Who are the specialists and what have they said specifically about Josh's case?

I would assume that before pulling nutrition from him, there would need to be some sort of diagnosis from a physician supporting such a decision. Does that diagnosis exist currently.

It's an awful situation any way you look at it. People in vegetative states can open their eyes and have involuntary movements and reactions, but that doesn't mean they are conscious or have brain activity. I can understand wanting to be absolutely certain there is nothing there. On the other hand, I can understand not wanting to see a loved one living in that condition. I wouldn't want to be kept alive in that state.

Josh had specialists when this initially happened and he was in the hospital. At that time they believed he would stay in that condition. This was in the first 6 weeks after his injury. That is to soon to be able to know what Josh is capable of. After leaving the hospital he showed a great deal of improvement and proved the Dr's were wrong with their original assessment. The vile monster never did anything to have him evaluated again. He has never been seen or treated by specialist since.
