NIL is not a part of the university. It is the players being their own independent contractor outside of their responsibilities of being a student-athlete for the university.

...and Sankey said in respo se to the new rules that he has no idea how the NCAA or SEC will regulate or control NIL. In other words it is going to be a free for all and everybody will do what they can get away with.
