Weinstein is an evolutionary theorist that had to initially adjunct at the shite university where his wife was employed as it took him 15 years to finish his PhD. He has two publications with less than 100 citations and has never actually published a study that did anything beyond propose an idea. He’s never published anything using data analysis or even demonstrated he has a rudimentary understanding of it. His wife was equally unsuccessful in her academic career. They have no expertise on vaccines, virology, parasitic medicines for off level usage, and frankly almost any topic they choose to discuss.
Pierre Kory, while actually being a doctor, is also currently unemployed as attended a medical school in Grenada—something you would only do if you couldn’t get into a medical school stateside. He has no training in statistics, epidemiology, virology, vaccines, or using parasitic medicine for novel viruses. Any information he claims expertise on would be off label and anecdotal.
The studies they cite include several that have been retracted, and when you properly adjust the meta analyses the effects go away. Weinstein is either dense or lying, but it is certainly one of those.
Let me be clear. I have followed his post-Evergreen career with interest and often agree with his various opinions on culture, problems with peer review, universities, etc. I was interested in the lab leak theory and he was an early proponent of it. I also fully endorse the right to free speech and make money doing podcasts and YouTube, even if one is knowingly (or unknowingly) lying. I just think people should have a full perspective before heading to TSC and taking de-wormer indefinitely as a prophylaxis.
I am patiently waiting their written response to the recent discussions of their missteps in these discussions—it’s more than a week late. Of course that’s not surprising for people that barely published over a couple decades. It turns out scientific writing is harder than reading abstracts of retracted studies on YouTube while posing as all-knowing experts.

quote:
Kory first practised in Madison, Wisconsin at UW Health, which is the academic medical center at the University of Wisconsin. He served there as the medical director for the Trauma and Life Support Center, in the outpatient pulmonary medicine clinic, where he performed bronchoscopic and pleural procedures.[2] Kory is an expert in critical care ultrasonography. In 2015, along with his two co-editors, Kory won the British Medical Association’s 2015 President’s Choice award in medical textbooks for their work on Point of Care Ultrasound.[2] Kory was the critical care service chief at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in May 2020.[3]
Who the frick are you?
You wanna throw your creds out there and we can measure them up to Kory’s?
