Chris Cornell’s death really got to me. I couldn’t listen to Soundgarden for at least a year afterward. It just bummed me out.
When I go down the rabbit hole I mentioned prior with Chester and Chris Cornell, I always listen to Audioslave - "Like a Stone" YouTube and Chester/Cornell "Crawling Live" - Youtube
It's not necessarily a fun trip, but these guys were amazing.

I was in high school when Aaliyah, Left Eye, and Dale Earnhardt died. I wasn’t a NASCAR fan but happened to be watching the Daytona 500 when it happened, and I wasn’t really a fan of Aaliyah or TLC but all 3 deaths sent shockwaves through my school. Very weird times.
Skip Carey wasn’t really a celebrity but his death hit home as well since I grew up watching the Braves on TBS every night
