Every africanized city in the world is dying by every metric, GDP, infant mortality, life expectancy, literacy, crime, etc. This is true for Port au Prince as it is true for Detroit or Baltimore. Same for Durban and Johannesburg. Same for Harare or any formerly modern city founded and built by non-africans including modern and state of the art laws, economy, and technology. There is a single glaring common denominator between all of these failed cities or states. It has nothing to do with what occurred 200 years ago.

Anthony Bourdain did a documentary series that explored history, food, and culture in several places around the world. The countries he went to which had European rule, but is now run by the left behind slaves are all shitholes. I remember he did a show from the Republic of Congo (under French rule until 1960). In less than 60 years architecture, technology, and industry has not grown at all and become dilapidated. Despite mineral wealth and a good climate for agriculture, their "economy is a mixture of village agriculture and handicrafts" (Wiki).
