My 360 got the red rings the other day and I was wondering what I need to do to get it fixed. Could someone who's gone through this help me out? Please lists all the steps so that I can get my XBOX back ASAP. Thanks in advance.

There are MANY people that have had RRoD multiple times.. MSFT hasnt been shipping the new units out only refurbished old units. So how can you say he will never have this problem again?

You can wrap it in a towel and let it heat up for about 30 min then power off allow to cool and remove towel and try it. Worked for me a couple of times.

I've had it twice on two separate Xboxes. I returned the 1st one after 8 months, and got a new one. 8 months later, RRoD again. Returned that one and I'm on Xbox #3 now.....which is scheduled to go out in November if it follows the 8 month trend.
