If he is out of shape and still the best player in the L what does that say about all the other players?

Lots of really good players playing pg for KD and Kyrie would look like the best NBA player, which Jim wasn't this year because he was too hurt from not being in shape. And Jim's game isn't based on athleticism, just like you've said before.

Etc..
All would've have similar numbers to Jim playing with those dudes.
