If Lillard was put on the market this offseason the dynamics vs the AD trade would be drastically different. AD suppressed the market because he had leverage, so demand for AD and the price teams would pay was limited. Same with Kawh
. The superstar always has leverage

Limited supply + Heavy Demand = Increased price.
“High demand” is weeded down to 2-3 teams with the snap of a finger. You’re being dramatic

The superstar was Lebron not AD for the trade. Lebron wanted the trade to happened because he was aging. Lakers was more into the corner than the Pelicans. Plus seeing how they missed out on other stars like Leonard benefited the Pelicans edge to trade.
This might be similiar if Zion comes out and tells the office to get Lillard whatever it takes, even if they have to trade Ingram.

You keep saying this shite but aren’t actually qualifying it.

Not all leverage is the same.
Walk me through what Lillards leverage is here?
Lillard does not and has not sought to foster Harden’s reputation. And if he did, teams still aren’t going to be as scared off.
He doesn’t have a looming FA, so he can’t threaten to not resign and walk to the Lakers/Clippers like AD/Kawhi.
So explain to me this leverage please? Then how that means the Pels will be the beneficiary and give us a lower price?
