Thinking about kayak fishing at Shell Beach or Hopedale

any preference of one over the other? It'd be my first time really fishing either of these areas. I've fished mostly Buras, PAC, and Delacroix.

You should consider launching at the honor box backdown that is right across from the cut that leads into Hopedale Lagoon. That would be a lot safer that negotiating MRGO. Hopedale Lagoon holds reds in the summer.
