I actually was thinking about this a few days ago. I’m trying to switch to a “training” mentality rather than saying I’m working out. Working out has been for general health but mostly thinking about “looking good.” But I’m hitting my late 30s and don’t eat perfectly and have no desire to bulk/cut, so aesthetics can be secondary.
I do enjoy racing and competing in events. My workout program (5/3/1) is designed for strength AND conditioning with the goal of being a competitive athlete. So yes, I should say I’m training.
