No he didn’t. There was already 1 out and he was all over the place after they checked him. Walked the next batter while throwing 3-4 balls a foot outta the zone. Got the 2nd out on a high outside fastball that was hit to right.
He threw 86 pitches through 4 innings. He was all over the place the whole night. Max was trying to get some sweat from his hair to grip the ball. Girardi noticed and had him checked. Max thought it was absurd (it was)
The stare down didn’t happen until the 5th after a 3u3d inning. Max stared. Then girardi acted like a little girl
