I was actually thinking about taking Riva Bahn up from Vail village and not the gondola.

Which is fine but Riva Bahn Express is about a quarter mile or so away from Vail Village and Gondola 1, with that being said since the Golden Peak area is out of the way, its not a heavily used lift and its the fastest way to get to the Northwoods Chair.
