I became an LSU fan in the early 1950s when we listened to the games on radio in DeRidder. Possibly AL Doggett, Jr. My Dad graduated from LSU in 1950 a year after I was born in Baton Rouge. My Dad was in class when someone relayed a message to him that Mom was in labor.
