This, combined with the fact that LSU has 6 national titles in baseball and expects (and is expected) to contend for more;

while LSU basketball has 3 Final Four appearances as the pinnacle of it's success, and making the NCAA tourney at all is considered a successful season for the program, when viewed from outside.

If we were Duke, Wade's tenure here would not be considered that hot. That is what LSU baseball is.
