re: Alzheimer is a cruel disease

Mother died from Alzheimer’s…dad died five weeks later from dementia…

Go see her as often as possible ..at this point bring a popsicle or something…they forget how to eat and later swallow (when they stop fluids it is close to the end)

My mom was happy till the end so just talk about the good old days…she knew who we were till the end…my dad got dementia bad and drifted into his childhood and really did not know us at the end…

Always remember…if things get tense …it is the dementia and not the person …as bad as it is …you are going to miss even these moments…
