Think again.

On Sunday, Bush was the Saints' primary ball carrier, with 14 rushes for 51 yards, but he was more dangerous as a receiver. He caught eight passes for 112 yards, including a spectacular 42-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.

He broke off six plays of 10 yards or more, three of them for more than 25 yards. Last season, he didn't have any plays that went for more than 25 yards.

I think we're back to the '06 Reggie.

It was a great game as a receiver. Pierre Thomas is still a better running back.

plus he had a 30 yard run that was called back on a facemask by reggie. if not for the penalty, he would have averaged a little more than 5 yards per carry.

And the beauty of that is that they both play for us. Who cares what they call Bush; just set him up in space and no one is more dangerous.

would have been more rushing yards if he wouldnt have been called for that facemask penalty....that 3.6 ypc would have went up to around 4.5 if not for that

incorrect. the penalty had no bearing on the yardage of the run or his ypc.

Pierre Thomas lined up as a running back on that 3rd and 5 play would not have scored the game winning TD like Reggie did.

Reggie was still a "running back" on that play and most of his other great plays - the fact that he didn't take a traditional handoff doesn't change what he was lined up as.

Reggie was the fastest player on the field. He is not a running back but a game changer. The addition of Shockey and the twin TE set is what will send Bush to the Pro Bowl as a all purpose back.

if he's fastest player on team, why does he get tackled from behind?

If they continue to use him they way they did Sunday he will be great. If they go back to trying to run him between the tackles he will be a bust. That is not his game.

It is called taking the angles. If you played football, you would probably know this. Reggie will make ProBowl this year, injury permitting.

TY. They should use him exactly the way the Rams used Marshall Faulk.

Pdaddy, I have played football both HS and college, it's called NFL speed, Bush simply can't outrun most.

he isnt as good of a runningback as faulk. faulk was a downfield threat as a receiver also, and the saints havent tried that yet with bush.

Yeah they tried to make him an insider runner too much last year after Deuce got hurt. That was a big mistake. I think we should run more draws w/ him as well.
