It's very depressing and sobering to ponder the reality of the situation in 1978 for the Saints. The franchise completed its 12th season, compiled a 7-9 record, which was their BEST record yet.
The moral victory, I suppose, is: they say that the Saints played some good football against some excellent teams that season.
