Usually a power delivery issue. I know it sounds silly, but make sure every PCIe plug is securely in. I troubleshot a build for over an hour once because the two pins on a 6+2 weren’t all the way in, which was enough to light up the RGB but not post…

Eta: if that doesn’t work, do a full DDU driver uninstall. If you aren’t familiar, just reply and I’ll give the steps I generally use.

Definitely a power issue. I'd swap PCI-E cables too if you are sure the cable is securely plugged in.

Of course Best Buy changes up the schedule with a Wednesday lunch drop right when I leave my PC...

That reminds me: if you're using a riser cable, you likely have a broken cable. Damned things are fragile as shite considering the sharp bends they have to do by design.

He hasn’t sent me a refund email. And now the discord is saying he has Covid.

Might just need to call the bank and do a chargeback.

Yeah i went ahead an ordered one. I noticed it getting hot like it wants to come on. No fan though and when i plug in the hdmi no luck. This is the second one visiontek has sent me.

I’ve reached out to AMD no luck and Visontek is saying it’s an AMD drive issue.

Before we address anything else: if you haven’t tried slotting the card directly into the motherboard, do that. And if you weren’t using a riser cable to begin with, buying one isn’t going to help.

I could be misunderstanding you, but I wanted to get that out ASAP

Sorry meant ordered a new power cord to go the gpu to the power supply. I’ve tried placing it in other PCI slots as well.

Remind me, what card is it, and what motherboard are you using?

Ok, so it at least shouldn’t be a PCIe generation issue.

So to clarify, are you able to post and then have errors in windows, or is your error a post code?

Sorry not sure what you mean. But I am getting these messages in the device manager.

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

when I disable and then enable the device I get an AMD display driver failed to load message.

Then you’re posting.

I’m doing this on my phone, so you’re not going to get links and this is all from memory, but just let me know if you have trouble finding something:

1. Download and install DDU (display driver uninstaller). Don’t run it yet.
2. Download the most recent stable release driver for your particular gpu. Save it somewhere you can easily access.
3. Restart your pc in safe mode. My preferred method is to hold the shift key while clicking restart and going into boot options. Choose safe mode without networking.
4. Open DDU, unclick restart after, change the settings to gpu and amd, and run the cleaner.
5. When it tells you it’s done, reboot your system into safe mode without networking again.
6. Now install your video driver.
7. Restart into windows normally.
8. ???
9. Profit

Yeah, if I still had money in, Mike talking about a chargeback on his end would have spooked me pretty good.

Now, what’s going to be funny is if there is a mass exodus and then the fricker actually gets his mythical shipment in and you have MTech run a larger FE flash sale than Bestbuy has ever had
