If you are retired and moving for the fishing then you can’t go wrong with Vero/sebastian. You’ll be close to great inshore fishing and good offshore options out of Sebastian or Ft Pierce inlet with short drives further south as well.
Crime is low and the Brevard/Treasure coast areas are fairly conservative.

I have loved it every time I have gone. I mainly fished the Indian river and inlet but would do more offshore if I lived there. Was really wanting to move to the Panhandle to be closer to family but I could probably pay cash for a place in Sebastian area. So leaning that way.
