Our safari guide would tell stories about watching a lone bull elephant show up at a watering hole to purposely seek out the biggest crocodile he could find to gore it to death with it's tusk, and then leave the crocs impaled body on the bank as a warning to the others that calves would soon be showing up to water.
He says watching the ease at which a bull elephant could pluck a 20 ft. croc out of the water is beyond any human understanding.
